Conflict Zone Crowdfunding
I'm Mahmoud Alyazji, a 21- year old, undergraduate student studying Medical Equipments Engineering in my 4th year. Born and raised in Gaza, i come from a family of thirteen: my parents, my two brothers and their wives, and each brother has 3 children. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing conflict since 7th Oct, my brothers have lost their jobs. As the bombing neared, the urge to evacuate to Rafah grew stronger. However, it was't an easy decision as it meant leaving our beloved home behind. In the end, we left abruptly, taking only what we could fit into backpacks. Some individuals are taking advantage of this conflict for their own benifit, prices are soaring: a chicken costs 25$(if it’s available at the market), a tent 1500$, one egg costs 2$. I'm trying to raise 56,500$ USD to aid in our evacuation from Gaza to Egypt and resume my studies in Engineering.
