The biggest defensive improvement comes from the use of a revamped method of blocking shots. I've had a feeling that blocking in previous NBA 2K titles felt lifeless and ultimately subject to change. With the help of new animations and an improved sense of flow and motion, blocks appear precise and strong providing a lot of much-needed strength to the game's excellent centers that, I believe, were never really portrayed as a threat during the previous games. Try playing Wilt Chamberlain's Lakers or Bill Russell's Celtics and you'll be able to see what I'm talking about. The sense of accuracy and realism extends to mid-air battles, since players in the ring feel more real in their movements. Highlight reels from the past were often damaged or completely destroyed by wonky animations that left my giants looking like frozen robotics in thin air. In NBA 2K22 players reach, swat and guard in a way that simply feels more organic and thus more efficient in the majority of defensive situations. NBA 2K22's modes remain largely unchanged from last year's game but that's not such it's a problem since most of these modes were exclusive in NBA 2K21's next-generation versions. Alongside MyCareer, MyTeam, and MyNBA modes, the W returns, featuring the standalone career mode built around the WNBA. If you want to know more about NBA 2K, you can go to https://www.nba2king.com/
