In their semi-finals simulated, the Milwaukee Bucks survived as Eastern Conference champions, beating the Boston Celtics four games to two. In the west it was a match between LA teams as the online Lakers defeated the virtual Clippers 4-1. 2K plans to announce results from the final round simulation on May 15th, and even secured quotes from some of the most famous players on each team (which should not be too difficult to find, as they've been featured to be the game's cover for the last two seasons). Anthony Davis, NBA 2K20's the cover athlete, claimed that "it is great to be here in person however for now, it is great that 2K provides fans with a means of watching their teams play in virtual court." Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was featured on the cover of 2019, stated, "We all miss basketball and we're trying our best to be able that we will be able to play once again, however for the moment, I'm anxious to check out the game against Lakers next week!" It's hard to say whether it was disappointing that there weren’t any major shocks in the final round of simulated play or if I just miss real basketball too much.
